Saturday we had an appointment at 2 with Christine to pick out our colors for the house. Surprinsingly Chris and I agreed on everything but the cupboards. For the house itself we decided on a greenish color, with ivory trim and dark shutters. We drove around the neighborhoods and wrote down addresses of the houses we liked, and then she looked up the color schemes. We werent allowed to chose the same scheme as the house next door or across the street. Only one of your neighbors had already selected their colors and the person across the street. Instead of having 14 scheme selections we only had 12. All but 2 of the houses we chose for the colors that we liked were an old scheme that wasnt offered anymore. The colors look TOTALLY different on paper, so i'm glad we went about it that way! We chose our tile color for the entry, which will also be the tile that goes around the fire place. We chose the color of our laminate for the kitchen and breakfast nook as well as the bathrooms. We chose the color of our counter tops, and carpet. We decided on the dark birch cabinets (which was what I wanted, Chris wanted the lighter ones but I LOVED the dark ones!) the colors themselves are hard to explain, and the names definately dont help! So once things get started and they start getting put together, i'll definately take some pictures and start posting!! We did take pictures of our dirt, yes DIRT lot. It will be so neat to lay them all out side by side and see the progress.
Yesterday we got the proofs of our invites which we both LOVED. Julie said they should be in by the end of this week, so be expecting them to circulate mid-july!
We have no plans really for the 4th. I think we might go to my parents and BBQ and hang out by the pool. Hope everyone has a good 4th of July!

Everything at once!
So I am pretty aware of the fact that i've been extremely slacking on the blogging! So lets get up to par!!
Engagment pictures. They are up on the website but they expire today. When they take them down? I have no idea! I just checked and as of right now they are still there. http://www.egproofs.com/ Passcode is Brodaczynski. At first we werent very happy with the outcome, but after they were put online and I had the chance to look through them on my own time without being rushed I grew to LOVE them. Chris on the other hand begs to differ. I dont think its the PICTURES themselves. I think its Cole. He called Cole last week to express our feelings, and said he was a big time JERK. So.. needless to say Chris is NOT very happy right now what so ever. I sure do hope the big day turns out to be okay though, and no words are exchanged. YIKES!
Sunday we went and signed the contract for our house. The start date is July 2nd and our "promised" date is September 30th! We are very excited considering we were expecting Mid-October to be our finish date. We do know how contruction works though, so we arent going to hold our breath for September 30th. But Christine assured us that they usually dont have a problem with it, at least now. Since they got a new project manager she said they have been kicking butt when it comes to closing on houses. We are pretty confidant that it will all work out! We are SO EXCITED to start watching the progress, and even more excited to get our keys! September will be a HUGE month for us. Getting married the 19th and then 11 days days letter closing on our house. Not only is it EXTREMELY exciting, but its EXTREMELY stressful. We were laying in bed last night thinking of EVERYTHING we have left to pay for. Although the list for the wedding is shrinking by the day.... our list for our house is growing. Blindes, furniture, washer and dryer, sod, fencing supplies, ETC. My stress level is sky high trying to think of all the money we have to come up with. I just need to put my faith in God! Somehow it will all work out! If that means we are using bean-bags and plastic chairs for furniture for a few months, SO BE IT, because its OUR HOUSE. Our first house, a house we OWN, not rent but OWN. We could sleep on the floor and live on Ramen noodles and I'd be one HAPPY Camper! I just need to push the stress asside and BREATHE. This is a very happy time for us, and its a time that we should ENJOY. Soak it up and ENJOY.
When Septembers over I dont know what i'll do with myself. Not having a wedding to plan and stress out about, not having a house being built to stress even MORE about. It will be weird to go back to living a 'normal' life. It will be NICE but weird. It will be nice to enjoy the newlywed life, the new home owner life, and enjoy each others company in our own space. I can't wait. As excited as I am for the wedding, and the house. I'm almost more excited for it to be over!
Not only was Sunday the day that we signed the contract for our house, but it was Father's Day! I made a couple trips to wal-mart Sunday (go figure!) and I found myself lost in observing all of the little kids with their dads, especially the little girls. The little girls that eyes just sparkled when they would listen to their dad speak. That were clinging to their dad and faces were lit with happiness. It made me remember what I was like at that age. My dad could do no wrong, he was most definately my hero, and to this day he still is. There are SO many kids out there that have to grow up without their father, without that bond, sparkle in their eye, and best friend. I was SO lucky to get the guy I did to call my dad. Not only is he my dad but he's by far my best friend. He's the person I turn to when I feel lost. He's the person I turn to when I need advice even knowing that he isnt going to tell me what I want to hear but the truth, and only because he loves me! He's the person that I find myself comparing all my relationships to (poor Chris), he's the person I want to be. That man loves his family more then anything, and would do anything within his power for me and my brothers. We have ALWAYS had that close relationship, i've always been a daddys girl, but that bond was totally strengthened with the passing of my Grandma Lin. We found ourselves leaning on each other, crying with each other, calling each other. He was my strenght to get through it all, I will never forget the day...the FIRST day i've ever seen my father cry. When I got that phone call, that it was time... and I needed to come say good-bye. It was a Friday and I rushed over to be with my family, and more importantly enjoy my last moments I had with Linny. When I first got there my dad told me not to be surprised if she didnt know who I was, not to let it hurt my feelings, she hadn't really talked all day, or been aware of who was and wasn't there. I took a deep breath, clutched his hand, and walked towards the room she was in... I walked in not knowing what to expect, she definately didnt look like herself, she looked horrible, I knew time wasn't in our favor, and I didnt expect to get any words from her. With both our surprise, she opened her eyes, looked at us.. said "LEX!" and started bawling... and I lost it, but he was there behind me, to assure me it was going to be okay... WE were going to be okay. He always puts others before himself, his appearance totally throws you off. Most people are intimidated, but once you get to know him, you know he really is just a big teddy bear! I just think of how its going to be in September, when he's walking me down the isle to give me away to Chris, my soon to be husband. To put my hand in his and trust him enough to give me away, to trust Chris with me and my well being. Never did I think my dad would accept ME, his little girl, his ONLY girl to get married, but in all honesty he's my biggest fan. He loves Chris, he's taken Chris in under his wing since day 1. I think we are a lot alike, I think he saw what I did in Chris from day one. I keep thinking of September 19th and how big of an emotional wreck i'm going to be. I cant even listen to the father daughter song NOW without bursting into tears. It will be one happy day though, and I'm more thankful then ever that I will have my dad by my side walking me down the isle, I know there are a lot of girls that dont have that, and i'm very thankful that I do.

TGIF!
As always... TGIF!!!
This week has been pretty busy. It seems like lately we've been on the go a lot! With the wedding only 3 months away (CRAZY!) and the house.. its been insane! Today Chris is picking me up from work at 4:30 and we are heading straight to Elegant Gardens to meet with Cole! We are previewing all of the engagment pictures he took 2.5 weeks ago! I also think we might be able to preview the inivites they are desigining for us. I hope he gives us a disk, or the option to view them online so I can share them with all my friends and family =) i'm very excited to see the outcome, we had a BLAST when we did our photo shoot.
Yesterday I started the project of making our RSVP cards and gift registry things. I realized it's going to take A LOT longer then I thought! It took me about an hour just to cut them all out! I'm excited though! I love crafts!
Tomorrow we have an appointment with Christine from Hayden Homes at noon. We are going to go over our upgrades and pick them all out (we have already done that we have our check list filled out and ready to go!) We will probably do some more drive by's of all the houses in that area to pick out the color for the outside of our home. We havent been able to decide!! Everytime we go out there for one reason or another we down all the streets and pick the schemes we like, and try to narrow it down. It hasnt been resolved yet!
I dont know what else this weekend has to hold for us! I'm hoping some SLEEPING IN! Hope everyone has a fun safe weekend!!

PLEASE SAY AN EXTRA PRAYER!

Taken straight from Caringbridge...
Thursday, June 4, 2009 10:53 AM, CDT
Lonnie didn't have Phase III treatment yesterday as the doctors are really concerned witht he extreme pain he is in and have decided to try Radiation. With Lonnie not sleeping and not comfortable they have decided radiation would give him instant relief and can't wait for the chemo to work as it could take the chemo up to 4 weeks to take effects. They put Lonnie on a higher dose of Fentanyl patch 50 MG's but it isn't working either. Dr. Hung the radiologist from OSHU said he would send a referral to Tri-Cities to our cancer center and get him immediately started on Radiation. We have an appointment today to see Dr. Reeves to talk about pain management and then will go see the radiology department to make sure they received the referral and to get an appointment to start radiation. Right now we don't know much about the radiation but it will be given over a course of weeks and it sounds like several days a week. OSHU said he can then come July 15th to start the Phase III trial. We are hoping this aggressive course will stop that main tumor from growing anymore. Lonnie had me feel his stomach where the tumor is protruding last night and I could tell it has got bigger just in the past few weeks. LMS is not a cancer you want to "WAIT" and see what it does, it is aggressive and though Lonnie has been lucky to this point time is not on our side. It seems to have taken a more aggressive turn and we want to make sure it stops before it spread to anymore spots.I will get an update soon after we get radiation scheduled with details. Some extra prayers are greatly appreciate and needed!

Where did the weekend go???
This weekend went by WAY to fast for my liking!! Friday I was off at 2:30 so I could go to my little brothers graduation. I can't believe he's a high school graduate already!! To me he's still 10 years old! The toyota center was a complete MAD HOUSE! Not only was traffic crazy, we saw a pretty big wreck in passing, but it was like 100 degrees in there!!! My favorite part was when they recognized everyone going into the service. I was in shock with how many people enlisted in all of the different services.
The rest of the weekend we kept busy. We had my cousins birthday party Saturday afternoon. We came home to realize ALL 3 of our dogs had gotten out!! After finding them we fell asleep and woke up at 8! We then went out for a little bit, which was nice because we dont do that very often!! We met up with Ashley sunday for lunch at Brickhouse, it sounded SO GOOD! We chatted about our houses, and all of that fun stuff.
I can't believe that September is only 3 months away. In 3 months we will be married, it still seems so surreal. I'm glad that I have the house and stuff to think about as well, or I know i'd be a stressed out wreck!! We'll just see how "un-stressed" I can brag about being in the next month!
Chris at Isaacs birthday party sporting a party hat!
I want to start a "weightloss wednesday" blog. I'm hoping that will help me get more motivated, knowing that I have to report to my blog, for EVERYONE to read! As bad as I really want to lose the pounds, I've been EXTREMELY lazy! We're getting down to the wire, its time for me to buckle down and get determined. I know once I start i'll love it, its just starting the cycle of going to the gym. And getting in the habbit of keeping track of my calories! So wish me luck!!!!
Hope everyone had a good weekend =) I wish ours was more eventful to post about! Have a good week, and as always... I cant wait for the weekend!

Lot 9 it is!
Happy Thursday! Yesterday Chris and I went at 4pm to pick our lot for our house! I let Chris do that part, I dont know anyyyything about lots, their dimensions, etc. So he took the wheeel on this one! Oringally we had wanted a corner lot VERY BAD! But of course by the time we got there they were all taken =( Except one, but it was a smaller lot, and they couldnt build a house with a 3 car garage on the lot. Since a 3 car garage is one of our upgrades, it was a no go. So Chris picked one of the bigger lots, it was also the only lot left where we could have the regular roof. If you havent seen a Hayden home, they have what they call some "dog ear" roofs, which I am not thrilled about the look, but I dont hate it either. So we were excited that we were able to get a "normal" looking roof, big lot, and it was the last one =) Not to mention that the back of our house faces the main road of the development, so we will have the back side of our yard fenced already, becaue they put up a pretty brick fence that goes around the whole development, so we only will have to fence 2 sides in the back and thats it! YAY! I was planning on going and taking a picture of our dirt lot, but they havent even paved the road that runs through it yet, or seperated them out for me to be able to tell where it was. So when they get it ready for construction i'll take a picture of our dirt lot, I plan on taking TONS of pictures throughout the whole process. Christine told us that she will call us at the very LATEST in a week and a half and let us know the dates for contracts, at that time we will set up an apointment to go sign our contract and we will put down more earnest money. After that the building begins. We will know Specific dates when we go sign our contract. We will know the date they will break ground, and our finish date! She estimated yesterday the end of October or at the latest the beginning of November. I dont see it taking that long, but with the ammount of houses they have to build, I understand. We arent on a time limit, we of course just think the sooner the better!!!
With the new excitement of our home, it's been hard to get back on track with the wedding! Don't get me wrong, I'm so very excited for it, we have just been distracted the last week...which probably isnt a bad thing!!! September is sure creeping up on us!
I hope everyone has a good weekend. One of my little brothers graduates on Friday =( and then leaves in August for bootcamp for the Marines. I can't believe he's already graduating!! Although i'm so proud/excited/happy of and for him, it makes me a little sad inside! They are all growing up! and they might not always be within driving distance from me! So just enjoy the time you have.. and the visits we'll appreciate even more! We love you Hunter!

Building it is!
Oh how I DONT like Mondays! But this Monday isnt as bad as MOST Mondays.. But I do have good news =)
Friday we went to Golf to get pre-approved for our mortgage and WE DID! We pretty much got pre-approved for whatever we wanted to spend, but we decided our MAX was $155,000. We were super scared about Chris' credit score.. since it was in the mid 500's about 4 months ago. And to our surprise his MIDDLE score was 637! The minimum for FHA was 620. We didnt really expect his credit score to be over 600..and we were SO shocked that it had jumped that much!! We were so excited! I was pretty set on NOT building because in my mind that was WAY to long away! But after looking over a few houses on the Market that had 1 to 2 things IF we were lucky that we wanted in a house..and it was our max price of what we wanted to spend we decided to go check out Hayden homes like my dad recommended. Christine the sales associate was SO nice! She walked us through a completed Klamath and I fell IN LOVE! So we went back to her office and looked at the upgrade paperwork, and we did close to $14,000 in upgrades! So this house will have EVERYTHING we want and I will litereally probably NEVER move again! I'm so excited! Wednesday we go and pick out our lot, we put down $500 to secure our lot. Then the beginning of July we will go sign a contract and they will start building. It will be completed 90 days from when they break ground, and I think we'll get more specific dates Wednesday! So it will be completed not long after the wedding! Which the more I look at it, the more perfect it is. We have until October to continue to save without a mortgage payment, and we may get money for gifts at the wedding which we could use to buy our Washer & Dryer that I want, as well as our Fridge and help with the cost of new furniture! We also plan on laying Sod and putting up our fence AS SOON as we get the permission to do so, and I'll also go in and paint! I will probably take some of my vacation time at that time so we can get it DONE and we can move in with our pups!! We are SO EXCITED!!!!! Below is our floor plan!
